STORM ROCK 3yo kicked off the Flat Turf season with an eye catching 3rd at Doncaster. This lovely natured homebred colt by Rock of Gibraltar has an exciting future in front of him. PACO’S DREAM 3yo finished 3rd at Lingfield Park giving her owners a memorable moment in the Winner’s Enclosure.
The start of the Flat season at Doncaster is always an exciting time and then things go a little quiet before the Newmarket/Newbury meetings. The 2yos are all blooming in this warm weather with some showing early potential.

LAMBOURN OPEN DAY - Good Friday 3rd April 2015
The Lambourn Trainers Open Day was another great success. Despite the rather damp start to the crowds still came from all over the country, some from as far as Yorkshire. Unfortunately we were unable to put on the usual swimming display due to Phil Wright having aggravated his back and for Health & Safety reasons we were unable to carry out the demonstration. The staff did a wonderful job in turning out the yard to its usual high standard and were on hand to answer any questions from the visiting public.
Tom & William rode with the Vine & Craven Hounds in the main arena and managed not to argue or fall off both quite an achievement! It was also Harry’s birthday and he got to compete in the Scurry Racing which consisted of two small ponies pulling a trap weaving in between cones at high speed. He looked rather red faced afterwards! The crowd was also entertained by AP McCoy and other fellow jockeys Racing Camels and competing in the Puissance Show Jumping. All monies raised go towards the Lambourn Valley Housing Trust, Lambourn Primary School and other village charities as well as the Air Ambulance.
A new chapter in the Dunlop family happened at Hackwood Park point to point course on Bank Holiday Monday when Tom & William made their Pony Racing debut on Magic & Scrappy Doo. Let’s just say both ponies are out and out stayers and held their positions very well finishing one behind the other last and second last! Both keen to race again.
