HARRY DUNLOP RELOCATING TO NEW LAMBOURN YARD IN OCTOBER

Harry Dunlop is to relocate his operation to Frenchman’s Lodge Stables in Upper Lambourn from the 1st October.

Beginning his career in the historic Windsor House Stables in September 2006, a yard which has seen previous trainers such as Peter Walwyn, Ralph Beckett, Nicky Henderson and Roger Charlton, Dunlop sent out his first runner, Situla (Pairumani Star), two months later to win by two lengths. In the 12 full seasons since, the team have sent out 12 blacktype winners, including dual Gr.1 victor Green Moon (Montjeu), Gr.3 hero Jackfinbar (Whipper), Gr.2 Criterium de MaisonsLaffitte winner Fighting Irish (Camelot) and Listed scorer Classic Remark (Dr Fong), alongside the Gr.1-placed fillies Festoso (Diesis) and Roz (Teofilo). In the 2019 season so far, the team has saddled Knight To Behold (Sea The Stars), a Gr.2 winner who finished second to Crystal Ocean in the Gr.3 Gordon Richards Stakes and was third in the Gr.2 York Stakes last month, and Robin Of Navan (American Post), a previous Gr.1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner who landed last month’s Gr.2 Meilen Trophy at Dusseldorf, from a small stable of only 38 individuals. Dunlop and his team will relocate to Frenchman’s Lodge Stables from 1st October. The last inhabitant was Grand National-winning jockey Brendan Powell and the yard has also housed the 1978 Gr.1 2,000 Guineas winner and sire Roland Gardens, trained by Duncan Sasse.
