New Yard!

Due to unforeseen circumstances in May 2018 it was time for Harry to look at relocating his team to another yard. After much searching, he was delighted to sign the lease for Frenchman’s Lodge Stables in Upper Lambourn. This yard also has its own unique history having sent out the 1978 2,000gs winner Roland Gardens trained by Duncan Sasse as well as an Eclipse winner. The previous tenant was Grand National winning jockey Brendan Powell who sent out a number of high-profile winners both here in the UK and in Dubai. Located at the foot of Kingsdown Gallops it has a wonderful airy outlook and is in close proximity to the superb Jockey Club Estate gallops at Mandown. Harry is looking forward to continuing his success at the very highest level and welcoming everyone to the yard.

 Windsor House Stables

Christina arrived in Lambourn on 26th September 2006 with Tom aged 8 months, 2 rescue chickens and two removal vans. Builders were in the house and Harry was at the Sales drumming up potential owners for the new business. On 2nd November 2006 Harry sent out his first runner Situla for Mrs Patino at Wolverhampton and she won by 2 lengths.

From then on Harry and his team have continued to follow in the steps of previous successful occupants of the historic Windsor House Stables. These include in recent times Peter Walwyn, Ralph Becket, Nicky Henderson & Roger Charlton. In the 12 full seasons Harry has sent out 13 Group & Listed winners including Group 1 placed fillies Festoso & Roz; black type winners Classic Remark, Green Moon, Three Moons, Sir Patrick Moore & Red Tornado. In more recent times there have been multiple Black Type successes with Fighting Irish, Jackfinbar, Knight to Behold & Robin of Navan. In 2019 from just 38 horses already the yard has produced Knight to Behold to finish 2nd to Crystal Ocean in the Gordon Stakes Grp 3 at Sandown followed by a 3rd in the York Stakes Grp 2 at York. Whilst Group 1 winner Robin of Navan showed no signs of ageing when storming up the hill in Dusseldorf to add a Group 2 to complete the full hand of Group wins at every level.
