MISS GARGAR (3yo) has been a superstar for her owners the British Racing Club and she gave them plenty to shout about when winning at Wolverhampton. Before the race the members ambushed the Racing TV coverage telling them that they looked forward to speaking to them after the race in the winners enclosure, how right they were! A fabulous result also for her breeders Hungerford Park Stud. If you are very organised and are already thinking of Christmas presents, this is a great value racing club to belong www.britishracingclub.co.uk
Hungerford Park Stud and co-owners the Babeys also had more success with their homebred VOICE OF CALM (3yo). This tall daughter of Poet’s Voice was 3rd at Lingfield Park and followed it up with another 3rd Kempton Park. She will now be aimed at the Jockey Club Whip at Newmarket. The Be Hopeful Partnership came close twice to winning races with their Showcasing gelding CRANEUR (3yo). He ran a cracking race at Salisbury to finish 2nd and then went to Sandown for a very hot race and again finished a gallant 2nd. As he has matured this horse has got stronger and will be a nice 4yo.
Golden Horn looked magnificent at the recent Darley Stallion Parade and his first season offspring also appear to be following in his footsteps on the track. GOLDEN LIPS (2yo) went to Thirsk for a Tattersalls Bonus race and looked like the winner when beaten on the line by an unraced filly that cost quarter of a million guineas. She will be an exciting prospect for next year when she matures over the winter.
LOST EMPIRE (2yo) made his racing debut at Newbury where he finished 2nd under Sean Levey. This son of Footstepsinthesand has done nothing but improve since he arrived in the spring. He can be easily spooked but with lots of caring attention he has blossomed, and it was an absolute joy to greet him into the winners enclosure looking so happy with himself.
Due to unforeseen circumstances in May 2018 it was time for Harry to look at relocating his team to another yard. After much searching, he was delighted to sign the lease for Frenchman’s Lodge Stables in Upper Lambourn. This yard also has its own unique history having sent out the 1978 2,000gs winner Roland Gardens trained by Duncan Sasse as well as an Eclipse winner. The previous tenant was Grand National winning jockey Brendan Powell who sent out a number of high-profile winners both here in the UK and in Dubai. Located at the foot of Kingsdown Gallops it has a wonderful airy outlook and is in close proximity to the superb Jockey Club Estate gallops at Mandown. Harry is looking forward to continuing his success at the very highest level and welcoming everyone to the yard.
Windsor House Stables
Christina arrived in Lambourn on 26th September 2006 with Tom aged 8 months, 2 rescue chickens and two removal vans. Builders were in the house and Harry was at the Sales drumming up potential owners for the new business. On 2nd November 2006 Harry sent out his first runner Situla for Mrs Patino at Wolverhampton and she won by 2 lengths.
From then on Harry and his team have continued to follow in the steps of previous successful occupants of the historic Windsor House Stables. These include in recent times Peter Walwyn, Ralph Becket, Nicky Henderson & Roger Charlton. In the 12 full seasons Harry has sent out 13 Group & Listed winners including Group 1 placed fillies Festoso & Roz; black type winners Classic Remark, Green Moon, Three Moons, Sir Patrick Moore & Red Tornado. In more recent times there have been multiple Black Type successes with Fighting Irish, Jackfinbar, Knight to Behold & Robin of Navan. In 2019 from just 38 horses already the yard has produced Knight to Behold to finish 2nd to Crystal Ocean in the Gordon Stakes Grp 3 at Sandown followed by a 3rd in the York Stakes Grp 2 at York. Whilst Group 1 winner Robin of Navan showed no signs of ageing when storming up the hill in Dusseldorf to add a Group 2 to complete the full hand of Group wins at every level.

BBAG YEARLING SALE 2019
Lot 19 UNNAMED Maxios x Saltita (2018) bay filly
In 30-degree heat Harry struck early at the recent BBAG Yearling sale in Baden Baden. He was delighted to secure Lot 19 by this year’s German Oaks winning sire Maxios out of Saltita by Galileo representing one of the top long-standing German Dam Lines, originally a Schlenderhan one (SLIP ANCHOR etc). A family packed with Black type including Saphir, Sarandia & saint Pellerin. She also has great broodmare potential. This is a young family the brother Palavecino was a 2yo winner.
She was consigned by top vendor Gestut Fahrhof who understandably were rather disappointed when expecting over 30,000 euros. This sale is renowned for being slow at the start and then overpriced at the end.
Purchase Cost: 10,000 euros
