The final month of the 2008 Turf season saw AROUNDTHEBAY (2yo) record her first win from only her second attempt at Kempton Park. She and the second placed horse pulled well clear of the field and battled for over a furlong with AROUNDTHEBAY getting up on the line, a truly gusty performance. THREE MOONS (2yo) recorded her fourth consecutive 2^nd this time at Leicester. Hopefully 2009 will prove more lucky for her.  Another horse to enter the winner’s enclosure was NEW BEGINNING (2yo) who was 2nd at Kempton Park on only her second run. CLASSIC REMARK (3yo) signed off the 2008 Turf season at Doncaster with a brave 2^nd in the Listed race.

 

The See You Then partnership braved torrential weather to visit Wandering Minstral and watch him work on Mandown gallops. He is now fully recovered from his injury and will hopefully run in the next 4-5 weeks weather depending. GO BUT GO was sent to Guy Landau to be re-schooled over jumps. He reported the horse showed all his old keenness and ability to jump and will return to Windsor House Stables to continue his training.

 

The sales season is drawing to a close with just the December Yearling sale at Tattersalls on Monday 24^th November and the main breeding stock sale 1^st-4^th December again at Tattersalls where some of our fillies will be sold as broodmare potential.  The recent Horses in Training sale saw 10 Lots from Windsor House Stables go under the hammer with AIR CHIEF being top Lot at 26,000guineas.

 

VILLLAGE VOICES  

The yard and staff were featured on ITV’s show Village Voices. The programmed concentrated on the Lambourn Carnival and the Windsor House entry  “The Starship Enterprise” was the main focus following it being created in the barn to winning 1^st prize.

 

5 To FOLLOW 2008 COMPETITION RESULTS

 

The 2008 competition was hotly contested and the winner by a clear 4 wins is young Hannah Buckmaster whose father owns Blazing Buck.  She chose all the horses herself after spending a morning carefully looking at all the horses.
