Due to injury her dam A Simple Path was unraced and is from the family of the multiple Grp1 performer Barathea; Gossamer, Champion 3yo filly in 2002 and Brocade to name a few. Santa Margherita has excellent confirmation and is a strong athletic looking filly. She ran 3 times as a 2yo finishing 4th each time. She is well handicapped for her 3yo season. She has been placed on both her starts to date in hot company and is an exciting prospect for 2010
