Behind every successful trainer is a dedicated team of people and it is no different at Windsor House Stables. Led by Phil Wright the staff consistently turnout their horses to an incredibly high standard. It is important everyone works as a team player.
Rachel Davies - Assistant Trainer & Amateur
Rachel is our Assistant Trainer, she feeds and is in charge of medicals when Phil is away and also helps Harry with the entries and general running of the yard. She also saddles at the races and rides work. She is from Jersey, has a degree in Equine Studies and enjoys skiing & cycling. She also passed her Cat A Amateur Licence course in 2019.
Emma joined us in June 2019 full time after working for a NH trainer. She used to work for Harry’s Father John at the start of her career. She is a very good rider an a great addition to the team. Emma enjoys horse boarding and competes at a high level.
Baker & McVeigh
Baker McVeigh have an office in Lambourn with first class operational & diagnostic services. They also have offices in South Africa, Chantilly and Yorkshire. Jess Dicks & Ian Beamish are our two vets who regularly visit the yard for trot ups, vaccinations and general checks.
Polly Bonner - Saracens Feed Merchants www.saracenhorsefeeds.com
Feeding the correct food is vital to maximising a racehorse's performance. Polly has worked with Harry since the beginning constantly re evaluating which feeds work and which may need to be tweaked.Saracen Horse feeds also partially sponsor our Horsebox.
James Stewart - Farrier
An essential member of our team is the farrier. James is in every morning to shoe the horses and put on plates to the horses who are running. He has a wealth of experience from his current yards Jamie Snowden & Jonathan Portman.
Christine Lycett-Still Accounts
Office 01488 73584 Tuesday and Friday’s
Christine is in charge of all the finances including the payroll. She is always at the end of the phone ready to help any owner with a query regarding their accounts and VAT.
Jenny Newby - Secretary
Jenny is first point of call in the office liaising with Harry over entries & declarations, BHA & Weaterbys administration, staff HR and more. Jenny has previously worked for Paul Cole as Secretary and the Arabian Racing Organisation. Her interests include endurance riding, shooting and she has 2 spaniels and lots of sheep!
Andy Lindsay - Yard Person
Andy brings with him a wealth of knowledge having previously been Head Person to Tom Dascombe. He lives in the village with his family and is a great asset of the team. Andy enjoys taking his horses racing, he looks after Knight To Behold.
Jordan has joined us from Charlie Hill’s yard where is started as a yard person 2 years ago and has worked up to ride out and improve his riding skills. He is a very cheery addition to the team and enjoyed dressing up on Open Day 2019 as the Easter bunny!
Julie has joined us from a yard in France where she gained valuable experience within Racing. She is from Czech and lives in the village with Rachel.
Prahlad also joined the yard in May. He lives in the village with his young family. He has joined with a wealth of experience having been at Henry Candy's for 12 years. Prahlad is always a very happy smiley face around the yard.
Rolf joined us in 2018 as a part time rider. He also works on the stalls at the races and lives in the village with his family. He rides out Knight To Behold most days.
